Seven new faculty members joined Mines in the spring semester, including these department/division heads:
Priscilla Nelson joined Mines as the new head of the Department of Mining Engineering. She previously worked at New Jersey Institute of Technology, the University of Texas at Austin and the National Science Foundation.
Michael Walls has returned to Mines as interim director of the Division of Economics and Business. He takes over from Rod Eggert, who stepped down to concentrate on his duties as deputy director of the Critical Materials Institute.
Tina Gianquitto was appointed interim director of the Division of Liberal Arts and International Studies after taking over from Elizabeth Davis.
