While pursuing a bachelorâ€™s degree in mechanical engineering, ScottÂ participated in varsity track and field at Mines. After graduation, heÂ moved to Utah to work for ATK Thiokol as an engineer on the spaceÂ shuttle reusable solid rocket motors. While working for ATK, ScottÂ earned an MBA at Weber State University. In 2008, Scott movedÂ back to Golden, Colorado, to work for his current employer, Shaffer Baucom EngineeringÂ and Consulting (SBEC). His most recent design project is the future Mines physics building,Â CoorsTek Center for Applied Sciences, scheduled to begin construction in 2016.

Norma is principal and founder of Afinidad Amercias, LLC, anÂ international business strategy and advisory consultancy focused onÂ energy services companies. Afinidad is expanding into the AmericasÂ markets with a special focus on Mexico and other Latin AmericanÂ countries. Norma serves as a managing director for 1stWESTÂ Merges & Acquisitions and is a member of The Chamber of the Americas and the WorldÂ Trade Center (Denver). She also serves on the Mines magazine editorial board. NormaÂ received her bachelorâ€™s degree in mineral engineering mathematics at Mines. She alsoÂ received a masterâ€™s degree in global energy management from the University of ColoradoÂ Denver, as well as a certificate in international trade from the World Trade Center (Denver).
Tim Saenger â€™95
Tim has been the alumni associationâ€™s Dallas/Fort Worth SectionÂ Coordinator since 2003 and has served on the Board of DirectorsÂ since 2013. He received his bachelorâ€™s degree in engineering physicsÂ from Mines in 1995 and his MBA from Southern Methodist UniversityÂ in 2006. He started his career as a photolithography process engineerÂ and has most recently served as the sourcing manager for the largest division of TexasÂ Instruments. Tim is also president of USPASSS, a newly formed non-profit organizationÂ seeking to help international students get a high school education in the United States.

Mahesh is a first-generation American with roots in India. He cameÂ to Coloradoâ€™s Front Range after completing his bachelorâ€™s degree inÂ geotechnical engineering at New Mexico State University in 1997.Â He completed a masterâ€™s degree in mining engineering at Mines inÂ 2000 and subsequently finished an MBA at UCLA with an emphasisÂ in finance and international management in 2010. Currently, he is a Global ProcurementÂ Manager at ExxonMobil and lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife.
